Are you taking part in the Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) Scotland? AARC would love to be your chosen charity.
YPI is a programme that empowers young people to make a difference in their communities by researching social issues, presenting their findings, and competing for grants of up to 3,000 for their chosen charity.
Why Choose AARC?
Nearly 25% of the people we support are under 21, and we often support unaccompanied young people seeking asylum who are struggling to challenge inaccurate ages allocated by the Home Office. At any one time, we support around 100 young people seeking asylum.
Your YPI project can make a real difference in their lives.
How You Can Get Involved:
1. Choose AARC as your YPI charity and research the challenges faced by people seeking asylum
2. Host a fundraiser - bake sale, fun run, sponsored walk, or anything creative
3. Organise a collection drive for clothing, toiletries, or other essentials
4. Raise awareness on social media and help dispel myths about asylum seekers
5. Volunteer your time at our hub
We are developing a dedicated YPI Pack with all the information you need for your project. In the meantime, contact us at hi@aarc.charity and we will help you find everything you need.
"Young people like you have the energy, creativity, and determination to inspire real change. When you choose to support AARC, you are not only raising vital funds - you are raising awareness and standing up for kindness, compassion, and human rights."
Good luck with your YPI project - we cannot wait to hear from you!
